FEATURES

Whaly boats feature a well thought-out design with a focus on stability and safety.

Whalys are renowned for their spacious interiors and maintenance free, practical boating.

Poly-what?

Whaly boats are double-hulled craft made from a single piece of rotary-moulded Polyethylene. The production method and high quality materials used, make for an incredibly strong, virtually unsinkable, indestructible and maintenance-free boat, with exceptional safety and stability.

Stability

Inflatables have been around for years. We all know how stable they are!
Whaly boats are effectively a super strong inflatable boat. Our dinghy boats also provide the same exceptional stability that you would expect from any inflatable boats.

Virtually Unsinkable

The double-skinned hulls of our dinghies have massive reserves of buoyancy and stability.
Swamp the boat, fill it completely with water, and you can still keep motoring, people and all!

Strength

Hulls are 6-10mm thick and made from high quality Polyethylene.
You won’t get a free puncture repair kit with these boats!
Take a look at this video to see just how tough these boats are.

Big Volume Design

Whaly Boats are often compared to RIBs, and it’s particularly notable that size-for-size a Whaly has much more internal space.
This is because the tubes are cut away vertically on the inside face, to create secure inboard seating around the whole boat.
This is much safer than sitting on top of the tubes of a RIB, particularly when carrying children and/or operating at speed.

Customisable

Whaly boats are easy to customise by the home handyman.

You can cut out an insert for your tackle box or screw on a mount for your depth sounder.

If its not 100% watertight, the bung at the bottom of the transom is simply unscrewed to let the water out. No foam or internal baffles to keep it trapped inside.

Weight

Whilst a Whaly Boat is a bit heavier than its inflatable boat equivalent, the extra few kilos result in an incredibly strong, virtually unsinkable, indestructible and maintenance-free boat.
Add a pair of Beachmaster wheels on the back of your dinghy and the weight becomes insignificant.

If space and weight are important factors in your purchasing decision – get a blow up. If you’re tired of having to pump up your inflatable boat every few days, worried about the kids puncturing your inflatable boat on the rocks, or sick of having an expensive asset simply deteriorating under the UV of the summer sun – get a Whaly Boat

Dry Ride

Whaly Boats are designed with a proud bow giving a dry ride.

View the photo to see how the Whaly 2.7 compares to an inflatable boat of the same size.

Easy To Row

Inflatable dinghies are primarily designed to operate with a motor. They are hard to row – especially with a head wind!
Like the inflatable dinghie, Whaly Boats are also primarily designed to operate with a motor. However, when it comes to rowing a Whaly Boat, people find that they are much easier to row. They sit in the water better and don’t flex like a rubber boat.
You can be sure, that should you find yourself without petrol power, you can always count on getting back home with the oars.

Anchor Lockers

All models of Whaly dinghy boats except the 2.1 have an anchor locker at the bow.
A convenient stowage area that doubles as a great viewing platform for the kids!

Safety Lines

A thick safety line surrounds the gunwale of each Whaly dinghy.
This not only serves as a safety line should someone need it in an emergency, but it also serves as an extremely strong handle.
Grabbed by one, or picked up by many, you can guarantee that these ‘handles’ wont rip or pull off, no matter how much gear you have in the boat.

Davit Eyes

Every Whaly has two built in lifting eyes in the transom and another lifting eye via the bow towing eye.
The 2.7 has two more lifting eyes just below the anchor locker. Given the strength of the thick safety line running around the gunwales, many simply tie off and hoist from that.

Trailerable

Whalys are best transported by a trailer with ‘bunks’ as opposed to rollers. In fact, the smaller 2.1 to 3.1 models can even be transported on a domestic trailer.
For longer distances the sides of the domestic trailer can be ‘beefed up’ to provide more support to the underside of the hull.
